The long flat hard packed sand of Chesterman's Beach is an invitation to walk at the edge of the eastern Pacific Rim, and as the tide becomes lower, Frank Island once again becomes part of the mainland of Vancouver Island.
Driftwood washed ashore by Pacific currents make a wonderful photographic subject in any light.
Sculptured driftwood  in all shapes and  sizes end up beached  in an artistic display.
At low tide the hard packed beach is a temptation for some drivers....just be careful when the waves return.
